Counseling Services
At Morse Clinic, we know that overcoming addiction is about so much more than removing withdrawal symptoms and reducing cravings. An important part of achieving long-term recovery is acknowledging and overcoming the emotional or psychological issues that may have contributed to your addiction.
That is why our opioid addiction treatment programs require participation in counseling to identify factors that may have led to substance abuse and may need to be addressed in order to live a drug-free future.

Individual therapy involves working with a counselor in a one-on-one setting to openly discuss a patient’s addiction to heroin, morphine, or prescription medications. The benefits of utilizing individual therapy can include the following:
- Forming new, healthy ways to cope with stress
- Handling setbacks and victories during treatment
- Creating strategies for preventing or handling situations in which using substances might be tempting
- Forming goals for the present and future
All individual counseling at Morse Clinic is provided by experienced counselors with expertise in helping people like you overcome the emotional and psychological challenges associated with opioid addiction.
As a patient, you will be required to meet with your counselor at least once a month during your first year of treatment.
